Enlarge the text
Using computers makes it easier to address some of the needs of your special needs students. I have a student who does not wear glasses and I noticed that when using the computer he was squinting to see the screen. Apple computers make it very easy to enlarge the text on the screen. I was able to show him how to do that and he was able to easily see the material and complete his online quiz with ease.

ReplyDeleteA couple of my students have the problem of not being able to read because of small fonts as well, as such I always have to print or show words in enlarged fonts. You are right using computers helps to address that need.

A simple thing like enlarging the font can make such a huge difference in the student's ability to learn and demonstrate what he has learned.
You are right computers make it very easy to change font size, style, color to add contrast and thus make it easy for students with vision problems to read.
