Digital Storytelling

Digital storytelling is a great way to motivate students in learning a second language.  I have used them for a variety of topics.  Students become extremely motivated to create dialogues and "produce" a movie because of the technological aspect.  My students who normally lack interest in participating on a regular basis because they  are shy tend to do well on  the projects because they are in complete control and can always go back and edit and record if something is not to their liking.

    Hey Christine,

    Digital storytelling seems like so much fun because students become their own little producers. Exercises like this are good for students that are shy because they don't have to stand in front of an audience. They can still get their ideas across through a narrated story.

    Hi Christine,

    As a foreign language teacher, I too want to comment how much more at ease my students are when using programs like digital story telling. They seem to come alive and become different persons when they have the virtual world at their finger tips.
    Digital story telling is an awesome innovation.
