Blog ideas

I was sifting through the Internet about blogging and came across this article.  It has a lot of great ideas on how to use blogs in the classroom.  Many of them we are ideas that we are aware of already but there are some new ideas as well.  Check it out!
I like the one about using it to share their family's traditions and history.  I would also like to add having students evaluating websites to the list of uses.  This could prove to be very helpful when doing a research-based project/paper.  Students could post their reviews of a site that their peers could access and determine if it is a site worth visiting for their particular project.

  1. I really like the link to blog ideas you have provided here. It does offer many practical and comprehensive ideas that we can use blogs for in the classroom.

Another idea that I have read some place else that I have really liked is using blogs in social studies when doing a project about different countries and learning about their food. Students made a recipe of that country, shared the recipe and a picture of it on the blog. They also shared comments and tips about what to be careful about when making it or what went wrong when making it.

    Thank for sharing
